About Master Bai
Grand Master Won Keun Bai
Grand Master Won Keun Bai was born in Seoul, Korea on June 2nd, 1944 and began his training in the art of Tae Kwon Do in 1955. In April 1997 he tested at the World Tae Kwon Do Headquarters (Kuk Ki Won) in Korea for 9th Degree black Belt. He is now one of the highest ranked Black Belts in the World.
Grand Master Bai, after graduating from University, while serving in the Army, taught Tae Kwon Do to the United States Army soldiers stationed in Korea. Once discharged, he opened his own Tae Kwon Do School in Korea and taught there until he immigrated to the United States. In 1973 he moved to providence, Rhode Island where he lived with the Monks in a Buddhist Temple. While living in Rhode Island he instructed Tae Kwon Do at Brown University and also at M.I.T. in Boston.
In 1975 he moved to New Jersey and opened a school in Ramsey where he continues to teach.
In 1983 he established the Pan American Tae kwon Do Federation of which he is still President.
In 2000, he opened up a new location in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
